When you think about Christmas, you might think about Santa but what would Santa be without his little helpers? That’s right and thats why today you’ll get the chance to crochet your own little elf. Again, it’s an easy crochet project so it’s definitely suitable for a beginner :)

Crochet Elfus pattern

You’ll need:

  • DK yarn in green and “skin colour” (I used Hayfield Bonus DK)
  • 3.5 mm hook
  • polyfill
  • 2 wobbly eyes in your preferred size
  • tapestry needle

Gauge: not important, you just might want to go either up or down a hook size when you crochet too tightly or too loose. You can test it by crocheting the first 4 rounds and push a little bit of polyfill behind to check if it’s visible or not. If it is reduce your hook size. If you’re having problems inserting your hook into the stitch of the previous round go up by a hook size.

Finished size: ~ 23 cm

The whole project is done in rounds, do not join at the end
